VTD 2016 Scholarship Recipient
Jasmine Elizabeth Euell
Jasmine Elizabeth Euell is a Freshman, pursuing a Dual Degree in Engineering and Physics from New York. Attending Spelman was an easy choice for Jasmine after participating in Spelbound where admitted students are able to experience a day in the life of a Spelmanite. Jasmine was also able to experience a bit of Spelman’s Black Girl Magic by being surrounded by many intelligent and successful black women who push and motivate others to achieve greatness. With the help of the NY- NAASC and the Virginia T. Dowell Scholarship, Jasmine was able to alleviate a financial burden from her family and focus her attention on her academics.
While on campus, Jasmine is a member of the NAACP Club as well as the Spelman Glee Club. During the next three years at Spelman, Jasmine plans to be recognized on the Dean’s List for academic achievement as well as participate in a study abroad program. Upon graduation, Jasmine plans to be an engineer in the mechanical field.
